Doesn’t it make you sad to think
That everywhere you touch her
I’ve touched her there before
And every time you taste he lips
I’ve tasted them before
And even though she likes you now
She used to like me more?
Doesn’t it make you sad to think
That everywhere you touch her
I’ve touched her there before
And every time you taste he lips
I’ve tasted them before
And even though she likes you now
She used to like me more?

=D, ktalent.
I've been reading this since you posted it. I figured it could be coming from one of two places. From the guy who knows the girl still wants him although they split up, or from the guy that thinks he can do without the girl but still enjoys day-dreams of the good times they had.
I know now, after reading "Shards of My Shattered Heart".
You paint a clear picture with words.

short, but sharp.
Thanks, Mike! Care to share your conclusions on which profile the poet/persona fits?
Thanks P! If history had played out differently, this could have been directed at you. :)
The Poet's way of dealing with the fact that someone else is doing what he used to enjoy doing is to turn it around and tell himself he's been there done that.
The sweetest part is that if she came crawling back, he'd take her and treat her better than the last time around. (that's how some very strong relationships start)
...*smile*...food for thought...the Poet just might treat her better than the last time...Thanks Mike, do drop by here more often!
Aww You are too kind. I will. You write very well and that keeps me coming back.
Thanks, Mike. YOU are too kind :)
